A couple of days ago I had a week without taking my camera into my hand. But it doesn’t mean I was not working with photos. On the contrary – I was going through my archive, setting keywords and descriptions. I was copying photos from DVDs into hard drive. Finally I’m saying good bye to my previous way of storing my work.
Looking at photos I can see the change of the world that is surrounding me. For instance – you will not see such a coachman on the Main Market Square in Cracow any more. Now there are beautiful women nicely dressed.
Also some reflections about my photographing appear. I think it was more spontaneous and careless in the past. Today I’m calculating: is it worthy to photograph this or that, what a use I would do with a photo… I was taking some interesting photos but many times I was not conscious of that. Along with discovering photography in myself some mystery disappears, this mystery that pushed me up for taking photos.
Right now I’m waiting for my computer system to be updated. The program I store photos ceased to repond due to system updates I have done today. What is little scaring – the fact that updating, for example, from version 3.2.1 to 3.2.2 I have no way back. The updated database will not work with previous version of the program. There is possible only the way on, keeping the faith that the huge company where I have bought the software, will not leave me alone one day.
